Looking beyond
LEA 6th
Form
AS and A levels end after a minimum of two years…what happens
next?
We value the complexities that students face and
the choices that they have to make towards that step beyond the 6th Form.
We expect all our students to go on to study at higher
institutions be it at a university in the UK or indeed abroad to further their Islamic
Sciences or Arabic.
Careers workshops
Whether you want to take a gap year and go to a Arabic
speaking country to polish up your Arabic or stay here to continue with your studies
in a specialism of your interest you will find that our carefully thought out advice
sessions and workshops will point you towards the right directions. Our motivational
programmes start as early as year 10 and we continue to guide and nurture students
and support them so that their tough decisions to choose a university can be easier.
We are developing strong links with universities through
which students will be making visits and learn about their various courses so that
students make an informed choice in their applications.
Our workshops, led by successful role models from the Muslim
community means that students will get access to professionals from the profession
they are interested in. They will be talking to
students direct from experience, fresh and hot off the profession – not theory but
practice!
Important note
Please seek advice before you finalise your AS combinations as some universities
have strict pre-requisites for particular degrees and this varies from university
to university.
All courses will run subject to demand.
Some of the courses will be held at our partner organisation
sites which may require some additional travelling.
You will be advised about that at the open days as it depends on the options you
decide to take.
