LEA 6th Form FAQ :-

Contact London East Academy for details of application procedures or to request further copies of the application pack on 0207 650 3070 or email on 14-19centre@leacademy.com. You may fi ll in the attached application form and send it to the London East Academy together with application fee of £10.00. Any application that does not accompany the application fee will not be administered. The course will run with a minimum of 15 students and a maximum of 25 students. All courses are subject to demand and students are taken in fi rst come fi rst served basis. You are strongly advised to apply at earliest convenience. Selection process Please indicate in the application form the course you are interested in and the level. All courses that are above level 1 require an entry test to determine suitability in the level applied for.

All short courses listed above are seeking accreditation from the ‘LEA Accreditation Board’. It follows closely the contents of other recognised Islamic Sciences courses around both the Muslim world and the West. All units are graded Pass or not yet passed basis.

Level 1 or 2 Certificate:

This is awarded to students that successfully complete three units either in level1/level2.

Level 1 or 2 Diploma:

This is awarded to students who successfully complete six units of a particular level.

Level 3 Award:

This is awarded to students that successfully complete 3 units at level three.

Level 3 Certificate:

This is awarded to students that successfully complete six units at level three.

Certificate of achievement:

This is awarded to students that successfully complete 1 unit or more of a particular level.

LEA sixth form short courses are operated on a unit accumulation system where you are certified for what you have successfully completed. It is flexible, which means you can do as little or as much as you are able or want to do and develop your Islamic knowledge gradually. You can choose to do one unit or more depending on your commitment and course availability.
